The Islamic call to prayer, or azan, started during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad in the early days of Islam. The exact date is not specified, but it has been a fundamental practice in the Muslim faith since its inception.
Imam is the one leading the praying. Imam is also called on the religious leaders of Islam. Muezzin is the one who declares the Azan (call for praying when is due)

An azan clock is a clock which plays the azan (Muslim call to prayer) at the time of a prayer. It has all the features of a normal alarm clock too & you can set the clock to the prayer times in your locality.
An athan is an alternative name for an azan, the Islamic call to prayer.
In my opinion, to allow people to make azan with they rhythm that is available to them and/or it is preferred the one giving azan be different than the one leading Muslims in praying. Azan means to call. Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) never gave azan because if he'd call for the prayer, every creature of the universe would gather there to pray and obey his command. Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) was sent as an apostle for the whole universe therefore, this reason is legitimate.
Friday prayer - "Jummah" We gather at around 1:00 PM First call to prayer is announced - azan We pray alone- 5 min Second Call to Prayer is announced - another azan We have a imam (similar to priest or rabbi) give a speech about anything relating to the community & islam: IE marriage or giving money to the poor or fasting during Ramadhan. We then Pray all together in congregation- in rows Then we all meet each other and talk for about 30 min then go home.
