Tithing was established under the Law of Moses. Leviticus 27:30 - And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord's. It is holy to the Lord.

How do you get are tithing back from church?

God will return your tithes a hundredfold. Once you give, he will restore it. :)

How can i help paul to be a committed person in tithing?

God loves a cheerful giver. If Paul doesn't want to tithe then its his personal choice. God doesn't need money, the point of tithing is to show him that he matters more to you than any currency. Attempting to persuade someone to give up money if it is not of their own accord is sure way to drive them away from God.

Do the Assemblies of God believe in tithing?

Yes, they do.

Where in the New Testament does it say that tithing is still supposed to be given?

The New Testament does not explicitly command believers to tithe. However, it does encourage believers to give generously and cheerfully to support the work of the church and those in need. Each person should prayerfully consider how much to give and the manner in which they give, according to their own convictions and ability.

Is tithing considered a donation?

Technically, no. As one speaker put it, there are three categories of Christian giving: # Tithes - the tenth portion given to support a specific minister or ministry, such as a church; # Offerings - a portion over and above the tithe to support other ministries, such as missionaries; # Alms - gifts to the needy. Don't be legalistic, though; give where God directs you to give, how God directs you to give. Tithing is a religious obligation. Giving to the needy is Charity. If you consider giving to the needy as tithing, then it's not charity anymore. I don't tithe anymore. I give to charities that research on children's diseases and how to prevent them.

Where in the Bible does it say that you can test God when it comes to tithing?

Is tithing part of God's word?

Answer 1:Tithing is only a very narrow interpretation of God's word. It is often the way in which a church leader will, through guilt, encourage (and even coerce) members into giving 10% of their income to the church. The root word for tiding is a "tenth"Answer 2:One may certainly suppose there are churches that do such things. The majority of them do not. Tithing was only a way of giving back to God for all the good things he's given us. It helps support the church and the good works that it does in God's name.I am not aware of any church in which it is "mandatory", though I am aware of a couple in which it is "strongly encouraged". The other few thousand church denominations pass the plate, and if you have something to give, whether a tenth or not, you give. If you don't have anything to give, you don't.

Is paying tithing a lie?

Paying of tithe is not a lie. It is commanded by God that we do so that there may be meat in His house. Mal.3:8-10 For those who context this, they are given to the spirit of greed and stinginess. How much can you really give to God?

Should you give tithes on money received from my estrangled husband- not divorced?

Tithing in the New Testament is voluntary, not something we have to do. The point of tithing is to offer some of what God has given us back to him as a thanks and sign that we believe He will keep providing (and also to protect us from grasping money too closely and forgetting generosity). 2 Corinthians 9:7 says "Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." Because of that, you "should" only pray and ask God what He wants you to do, and do what you are willing to do.
