One of the earliest written uses of the term Catholic comes from St. Ignatius of Antioch in 110 A.D, only a few decades after the Gospel of John (ca. 90 A.D.) was written. For example, St. Ignatius wrote
Let no one do anything of concern to the Church without the bishop. Let that be considered a valid Eucharist which is celebrated by the bishop or by one whom he ordains [i.e., a presbyter]. Wherever the bishop appears, let the people be there; just as wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the CatholicChurch. (Letter to the Smyrneans, ch. 8)
This does not preclude the possibility that there may have been earlier written texts with the term Catholic but which are no longer existing today.
It is also not unreasonable to speculate that the term Catholic was being used prior to 110 A.D. in spoken language, and then gradually became incorporated into written language.

The word "catholic" actually means "universal," thus the word can be used described the whole church all over the world (the church universal in theological terms). If it is capitalized, it refers to the Roman Catholic Church.

Auguste Comte is known as the father of sociology for developing the positivist approach to understanding society. He emphasized the use of scientific principles and methods to study and improve society. Comte also introduced the concept of social statics (the study of order and stability) and social dynamics (the study of social change), which are foundational to the field of sociology.
The first written use of the word "Catholic" to describe the Church was around 110 A.D. by St. Ignatius in his letter to the Smyrnisans. (Catholic is from the Greek "katholikos", which means universal.) Whether the term originated before this date is unknown, although it's worthwhile to note that in 110, Ignatius seems to use the term as though it was already an established name.
I also need to know what the term resist means.
We do not know when the term 'Catholic Church' was first spoken. However, it appears in written form in writings of St. Ignatius of Antioch in 106 AD. The actual origin of the term is unknown and may have been much earlier.
