Robert J. Oppenheimer was the "father of the atomic bomb" and the director of the Manhattan Project. Edward Teller was the "father of the hydrogen bomb."
Problebly not
The Russians knew nothing about the Manhattan project and if they did they would have tried to develop a nuclear weapon before the US did.
The top secret program to build an atomic bomb was called the Manhattan Project. It was so secret the top Generals and Admirals did not know about it. The people who worked on the project often did not know what they were working on. All the workers lived in places that were developed from the ground up and they could not talk about what they were doing. Even Vice President Truman did not know about it until after President Roosevelt died.
There were thousands of them worldwide. In the US we had Einstein (consulting) and Szilard (consulting) and Frank Oppenheimer to lead the Manhattan project. There was the Army Corp of Engineers too. General Leslie Groves led the entire Manhattan Project for the Army. I can't remember the names of the German scientists other than Wernher von Braun and Walter Dornberger who were responsible for developing the V2 Rockets that bombed London. Von Braun eventually became the head of NASA in the USA. I don't know the names of the Japanese scientist who were working on their atomic bomb.
The father of the atom bomb is generally considered to be physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer. He was the scientific director of the Manhattan Project. And you know why the Manhattan Project was created and what they did. A link can be found below to the Wikipedia post on Dr. Oppenheimer.
They would look at the facts that they know so far. They think about how, scientifically, how things would work out. I know this because my father is working for medical school, and he knows a lot to answer this--he's more a scientist himself!
Sorry mate but I have no idea who it was, I think it was instine we all know he was a scientist but he also was an expert in maths , he used maths in his work and equations.
i dont know ask someone else
nobody asked to work on the project, if told its purpose, refused the opportunity to work on a weapon so important to the war. although the majority of manhattan project workers (they were not cleared and had no need to know in order to perform their jobs) had no idea that what they were working on was an atomic bomb. however any soldiers on the project that breached security were instantly removed from the project and reassigned to remote bases in alaska!
As we do not know where you are from and this is an international site, we cannot know who would be a foreign scientist to you.
The major scientists in on the Manhattan Project were Enrico Fermi, Leo Szilard, Robert Oppenheimer, Otto Hahn, Niels Bohr, Richard Feynman, Edward Teller and more. The most important were The major scientists in on the Manhattan Project were Robert Oppenheimer, Enrico Fermi, Leo Szilard, Otto Hahn, Niels Bohr, Richard Feynman and Edward Teller.
I want to know who settled on Manhattan Island first , was it Robert Edwards from Gibraltar?
