Much later the Kuo Min Tang of Chiang Kai-Shek. One cannot literally translate Kuo Min Tang- but it was NOT Communist and has nothing to do with (Comintern) which was Communists International. - e.g. the international arm of the Party ( tightly supervised by the KGB). the Tongs were and are domestic (In US) Chinese societies or clubs. They have parlors in Chinatown, Members only!

The first leader of the Republic of China was Sun Yat-Sen. If you mean the leader of Chinese nationalists at the time of the Chinese civil war against the CCP (Chinese Communist Party), that would be Chiang Kai-Shek.
