There may be other reasons for the significance of Levi, but one reason is that he became the father of the tribe who served as priests in the temple. Only Levites (those descended from Levi) could become priests. I believe that Moses (and therefore his brother Aaron) were both from the tribe of Levi.
LEVI (Genesis 29:34)

The answer is yes.
The oldest son of Jacob and Leah was Reuben. He was the firstborn son and the founder of one of the twelve tribes of Israel.
The Reubenites are the descendants of Jacob's [Israel's] firstborn son, Reuben."These are the sons of Israel; Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar..." (I Chron.2:1).
It is Reuben.
It means "Look, I have a son." He was Leah's first son in the Bible, so she named with as almost a sense of astonishment as well as a celebration that she was the first of Jacob's wives to bear a child. "behold, a son" Reuben means "behold, a son" in Hebrew. In the Bible, he was the oldest son of Jacob and Leah.
In the Bible, Jacob had two wives: Leah and Rachel. Leah bore him six sons, while Rachel had two sons. Rachel died giving birth to their second son, Benjamin. Leah's fate is not specifically mentioned after Jacob's death.
Benjamin (Ben-o'-ni) was the last son before Rachel died.(Genesis 35:16-18)
The first Judah WAS THE 4th Son Jacob and Leah and is recorded in the bible Genisis 29:35
From the original name Zebulun, hebrew. The name means gift, gods gift. Zebulun was the sixth son born to Leah and Jacob. After bearing Zebulun the sixth son of Leah and Jacob, Leah saw him as a gift from god and felt that Jacob would love and honour her more. Jacob who later was given the name Israel.
