Medea, the daughter of King Aeetes of Colchis, had six children with the Greek hero, Jason (of Golden Fleece fame). There are different versions of the myth, including that Medea killed two of her children, one version stating that she did so by accident, another stating that she deliberately killed them. Another version blames their death on the citizens of Corinth.
