There was no Alfonso the First of Spain.

There was an Alfonso I of Portugal (1109-1185), an Alfonso I of Asturias (739-757), and an Alfonso I of Aragon (1104-1134).

Alfonso I of Asturias was succeeded by his son Fruela I. He also had a son named Vimerano .
