Amenhotep III had four foreign unnamed women, an Egyptian concubine, Resi, Mitanni princesses Gilukhepa and Tadukhepa, for his wives but his most favourite wife Of all was Queen Tiye, a woman of Syrian and Hebrew descent but born in Nubia. His foreign wives and Resi bore him no known children. Gilukhepa did not bear any children either, Tadukhepa may have borne a son, Siatum instead of Mutemwiya, thus making Siatum
His son not brother, however there is no evidence for this. Queen Tiye bore two sons, Thutmose and Amenhotep IV/Akhenaten and four daughters: Henuttaneb, Sitamum, Iset, And Nebetah. He married three of his daughters: Sitamum, Iset and Henuttaneb, they never bore any children. Tutankhamun may be a son of Amenhotep III and Queen Tiye, as Tut states that Amenhotep III is his father and Amenhotep III as Nebkheperure states twice that Tut is the son of his body.
Amenhotep III/Thutmose IV had several wives and children.
1. Nefertari, full sister. First wife. Died young, no children.
2. Iaret, half sister, second wife. Pushed into background, later murdered. Mother of Tutankhamun, a crown prince and co ruler of Amenhotep III. Two unnamed granddaughters.
3. Four unnamed foreign wives. No children. Fate unknown.
4. Resi, concubine. No children.
5. Mutemwiya, a Mitanni princess. Died of old age. One son, Amenemhat, and four daughters: Tentamun, Petepihu, Amenemopet and Tiaa. One grandson, Hereanqkh.
6. Tadukhepa, a Mitanni princess, maybe one son, Smenkhkare? Later married to Akhenaten.
7. Tiye, a Syrian or Hebrew noble lady born in Nubia. Favourite wife. Two sons: Crown Prince Thutmose and Akhenaten. Five daughters: Sitamum, Henuttaneb, Isis, Nebetah and Ankhesenamun.
Stayed in Amarna and died of a plague. Married Aye, who fathered one son, Nakhtmin by his first wife, Tey. Aye is made pharaoh after Amenhotep III's tragic death. Tiye and Aye raised two daughters: Nefertiti and Mutnedjmet or Mutbenret. Aye also married heartbroken Ankhesenamun who died soon after.
8. Sitamum, daughter, no children.
9. Isis, daughter, no children
10. Henuttaneb, daughter, no children.
Akhenaten was the only surviving son of Amenhotep III, he also married several times and lots of children.
1. Tadukhepa, the widow of Amenhotep III, possibly mother of Akhenaten's father's son, Smenkhkare.
2. Nefertiti, half sister, favourite wife. Had six daughters: Meritaten, Meketaten, Ankhesenpaaten, Neferneferuaten Tasherit, Neferneferure, Setepenre and possibly one more unnamed infant daughter, who died young. Nefertiti possibly had Smenkhkare. Or Takhepa died having him and Nefertiti raised him as her own. Nefertiti became Smenkhkare's co regent and later sat on the throne after his death, to appoint an heir but was murdered by Horemheb.
3. Two unnamed foreign wives, fate unknown no children.
4. Kiya, fate unknown. Possibly died giving birth or soon after or died of a plague. One daughter, Beketaten.
5. Ankhesenpaaten, daughter. One daughter, Ankhesenpaaten Tasherit. Both mother and daughter died young.
Smenkhkare married Meritaten, they one daughter, Meritaten Tasherit, both disappeared and died mysteriously.
