Many people did help with the Under Ground Railroad but one of the main person was Harriet Tubman. Harriet Tubman was a courageous "conductor" on the Under ground railroad. The Underground railroad was a organization was not an actual railroad but was a network of people who arranged transportation and hiding places for fugitives, or escaped slaves.
