Essenes. They were a tiny non-traditional group who disobeyed the Sages and instituted their own ways of performing the Torah-laws. They went extinct some 1950 years ago.
Jewish scribes lived, and still live, wherever there are Jewish communities worldwide.
The Essenes.

They were called Separatists because they wanted to separate from The Church of England.
Job lived about the same time as Abraham, there was no Jewish race then.
The Pilgrims broke away from the Church of England that King Henry instituted. They were persecuted for their beliefs and that they did not attend the Church of England. By the time the Pilgrims broke away from the church, King James was ruling. Some of these "Separatists" went to Holland. They lived there until they felt the Dutch were a bad influence. And again, some of those separatists left for America. These Separatists then made their "pilgrimage" (journey) to America. Today these Puritans/Religious Dessenters/Separatists are called the Pilgrims.
Based on the Gospel description of his dress and diet, some think that John was an Essene. The Mandaeans, a small sect of which only about 20,000 followers remain in southern Iraq and in a worldwide diaspora, claim John the Baptist as one of their own, saying that he founded their religion. They believe that Jesus was originally a disciple of John the Baptist.
Jewish women lived everywhere.
