Exeter, United Kingdom?

Exeter, a small seaside town in England’s West Country, is best known as a university town. However, Exeter is full of a rich history dating back to Roman rule. In 200AD the Romans completed Exeter and many of the original sites still exist at the very least as ruins. The main center point of the city is the Cathedral. This 14th century site has Norman architecture with two towers built into the cathedral. Not only is the architecture original, but the Cathedral has the world’s longest Gothic vault as well. Other attractions in the area include the Royal Albert Memorial Museum (dedicated to fine arts and natural history) as well as the Quay House Visitor Centre (dedicated to the history of the area). Be sure to take a guided tour of the Underground Passage located beneath the High Street. Exeter is most alive during the school year, but there are a variety of entertaining activities throughout this city year-round.
