The Los Ninos Heroes, a group of six cadets at the Battle of Chapultepec who refused the order to retreat and fought to the death in defense of their flag. When only Juan Escutia remained he draped himself in the Mexican Flag and jumped off the Castle Wall to his death. The other Mexican Immortals were:
