Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, July 1969.

Neil Armstrong was the first person who walked on the moon (I suspect it was more of a 'hopping' but... ;), from wiki... he 'set his left boot on the surface at 2:56 UTC July 21, 1969"

He then photographed (still photo's and moving image) his colleague departing from the capsule and walking on the moon, his colleague was Buzz Aldrin.

There are numerous theories that neither of them walked on the moon, but if you look at these theories, and their explanations of the errors, these errors are in fact very easily explained. The explanations are also a lot more elegant than the conspiracy theories could ever be.

On a side note, which may or may not be interesting to you!

Of course there is also the dance move 'the moonwalk', which originated in the 1930's and reached it's Zenith with Michael Jackson, passing by various other 'moon walkers' of note such (and in no particular order) as Marcel Marceau, David Bowie, Cab Calloway, Bill Bailey, James Brown, and others.

Armstrong and Aldrin wrestled with it together. The Moons surface was harder than anticipated, the armature had some problems and when they took off, it was blown over by their exhaust.
