It's not a Bowie song or recording (though it admittedly sounds like him. "A Girl like You" was written and recorded by Edwyn Collins in 1994.
Hmmm. Actually, David Bowie wrote this song (apparently with Iggy Pop) and recorded it on his Absolute Beginners LP. The Edwyn Collins version is a cover. He does a great imitation of David Bowie though.

Goth pubs can be so called for 2reasons-either they were built in the gothic era, ie. the medieval/middle ages-or more likely these days, because they are supported and frequented by fans of goth (gothic) ie. people usually dressed in all black, who like the 'depressive' style of heavy metal-no offence to all you goths out there,it was the only way i could describe it.

It really depends on how fast you learn and catch on to things and how long you practice and take the guitar lessons. If you really want to learn and get very good and are practicing a lot everyday and learning as much as you can I`m sure you`ll get very good VERY soon. Like maybe 2/3 months. But honestly, there isn't a end to learning it. U can learn MORE and MORE about guitar your whole life. Its just the basics you`ll cover in about 3 months if you try very hard and work at it. I , too , are learning how to play acoustic guitar. I think its a little confusing but I`m sure I`ll catch on :)

There are two unrelated answers. One- and this is (jeopardy stuff) the title of the song is not mentioned specifically in the lyrics of the song mentioned ( this is also true of America The Beautiful). the other is all of these songs have dark and somewhat occult and morbid angles- Unchained melody could refer to drowning- (it is the least morbid of the three) John and Yoko has blasphemous language ( was banned for said reasons) and Space Oddity and Bohemian Rhapsody have suicidal themes, the latter coupled with homicide by gun.

David Bowie, definitely! He made a much bigger impact in music. Not discounting Tom Petty's contributions, but Bowie is more widely known and much more influential.

"Space Oddity" has been covered at least 27 different times as of Jan 2010. There are also at least 3 live versions, 1 remix, and 1 alternate studio version. "Cat Power" made a very popular cover, used in a Lincoln commercial, and that may be the one you know best. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Oddity
The one that i have herd the most is by Shiny Toy Guns and the song is also played during a Lincoln car commercial

A bowie knife has many uses. It is popular with hunters because of the power it has for skinning an animal. Also, because of the large blade, a bowie knife can be used for hunting and cutting wood.
