People, or the descendants of people must have been eating some type of food ever since their existence began. Otherwise people would not have been able to exist at all. (Food is necessary for you to live)
Unless there was some other way people were able to get their energy in the past, such as through photosynthesis, then there must have been some point in time when a person discovered food. But that's almost impossible.
