The two women most devoted to Poe were his foster mother, Frances Allan and his aunt Maria Clemm. Obviously his natural mother would have been devoted to him as a mother to a son, but there are simply no facts to assure us of that. Also, she only lived till Poe was 2 years and 11 months old. Just as obvious, his wife Virginia Clemm would have to be considered devoted to Poe.
