The witness that Jesus is talking about is his Heavenly Father Jehovah God bearing witness. As we read at John 5:30-32
30 I (Jesus) cannot do a single thing of my own initiative; just as I hear, I judge; and the judgment that I render is righteous, because I seek, not my own will, but the will of him (Jehovah God) that sent me. 31 "If I (Jesus) alone bear witness about myself, my witness is not true. 32 There is another that bears witness about me, and I know that the witness which he (Jehovah) bears about me is true.
Other scriptures that back up that information is as follows:
(Matthew 3:17) Look! Also, there was a voice from the heavens that said: "This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved."
(Mark 9:7) And a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud: "This is my Son, the beloved; listen to him."
(John 12:30) In answer Jesus said: "This voice has occurred, not for my sake, but for YOUR sakes.
(John 17:3) This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God (Jehovah), and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.
(1 John 5:9) If we receive the witness men give, the witness God gives is greater, because this is the witness God gives, the fact that he has borne witness concerning his Son.

John 5:31-33 John came for the purpose of being a witness to the Light (Christ). He bore witness regarding Jesus (cf. v19) so that all might believe. John 1:6-9
Witnesses
They do.
Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus is the first-born of all creation, he is the "only-begotten" son of Almighty God Jehovah. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus came to the earth to redeem mankind from the sin imposed upon the human race by Adam and Eve. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that salvation can only be attained by exercising faith in Jesus, in his teachings and in his ransom sacrifice.
