Sherman wasn't a battle, he was a General.
He was notable for his March to the Sea (Atlanta to Savannah) in November-December 1864 - a punitive raid which devastated the Southern economy and shortened the war by months at almost nil casualties.
The March was not a battle. Sherman moved almost unopposed and won everything he planned to win.
It was a Union victory.
