Yes. Ecuador had fought neighboring Peru due to land claims.
Yes, Peru and Bolivia went to war against Chile in the War of the Pacific in 1879-1873.
A longstanding territorial dispute between Ecuador and Peru erupted in fighting on January 26, 1995, in the remote, rugged jungle mountains of the Cordillera del Condor, where a stretch of border had never been clearly marked and where deposits of gold, uranium, and oil supposedly lay. Peru claimed that the approximately 1,000-mile border between the two countries had been set by the 1942 Rio de Janeiro Protocol, which had confirmed its victory over Ecuador in a 10-day war in 1941 over territory.
How about the Amazon rain forest. Although Peru stole half of Ecuador´s in a war at the beginning of the 20th century.
Bolivia and Peru were at war against Chile from 1879 to 1883 in The War of the Pacific. Chile won the war and gained land from Peru and Bolivia. The Battle of Huamachuco in July 1883 was the last major battle of the war. The battle took place near the town of Huamachuco, Peru. The Chilean forces defeated the Peru forces with Peru suffering 800 dead and 300 captured. The battle marked the final defeat of Peru.
Peru, it got even bigger when a dispute on territory which caused a war ended in Ecuador losing even more land to Peru (despite winning to, that pissed me off that th other nations forced Ecuador to lose).
