Pressure decreases as the temperature drops and increases as the temperature rises. It is normal for a small pressure drop in very cold weather. It is actually advantageous to have lower tyre pressure during winter months so this is why service stations don't put extra air in. You might want to check the tyre pressure isn't more than 10-15% lower than normal.

(Added to which you'd probably have to remove it again or face over inflated tyres in summer months).

Q: Who would not the answer to this I have a 2009 jeep Sahara I live in Ottawa Canada the tire pressure light comes on when it is cold so I took it to the service station he said this is normal is it?
