Answer 1
I See Iraq wins
Answer 2
The Iran-Iraq War of 1980-1988 seems to show that even when Iran is just recovering from an internal revolution and reorganization and Iraq is being supported by half of the West's biggest players the two countries can reach a general stalemate. However, that stalemate was when Iran was in a weaker position than it is today and when Iraq was in a much stronger position than it is today. Without a doubt, as of early 2012, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard would be able to summarily defeat the Iraqi Army.
The United States would win.
The United States has far superior technology.
For example, we invented the atomic bomb 70 years ago, Iran still can't split the atom today...you do the math.
In addition, the United States is better strategically positioned in the Middle East. It's economic pull would force other leaders to support the United States.
In contrast, Iran would have a hard time attacking any part of the United States, as it just does not have the military spheres of power to attack outside of the Middle East. The only hope for Iran would be a defensive guerrilla war, even though the United States could easily siege Iran into surrender.
