when a girl named creel's aunt wants her to get saved by a Prince from a dragon, to make the prince , marry her, she ends up bargining her way out, and wins a pair of comfy shoes in the process. she goes off and be friends another dragon. the dragon then flies her 2 the kings seat where she gets work as a sewer. she meets the prince (prince luka) and befriends him too. she also meets soon-too-be-queen Princess Amalia and soon-to-be-king Prince Mulin. Amalia seems to need Creel's slippers. one of her co-workers steals her shoes and gives them to amalia. then- you have to read the book!
