Cells require energy and this energy is synthesised by the mitochondria in the form of ATP .ATP is the main energy source for the majority of cellular functions. This includes the synthesis of macromolecules, including DNA and RNA and proteins . ATP also plays a critical role in the transport of macromolecules across cell membranes, e.g. exocytosis and endocytosis i hope this helps :D

Cells use ATP (adenosine triphosphate).
Chemical energy
Cells use chemical energy.
Cells do not choose their source of energy.

Cellulose is not used in plant cells for energy. It is used for structural strength.

Cells have multiple sources of nutrients including fats and sugars, that can be used to create energy. As far as sugar is concerned, glucose is the sugar that is used by cells to produce energy.
Nutrients are used by the body's cells as a source of energy
The light energy absorbed by plants is converted into chemical energy by chlorophyll. The energy is used to create a chemical called ATP, which stores and transports energy to cells.
Oxygen is used to break down energy which is then used in cells.
