1. BPO career is the only skill you really need
BPO stands for Business Process Outsourcing. In short, it means outsourcing business processes to third party service providers. These services may include anything from customer care to accounting to marketing. If you have ever had to deal with a phone call center, then you know how frustrating it can be dealing with people who don’t speak English well. Or if you have ever had to wait on hold for hours while trying to get someone to answer your question about your bill, then you know what I am talking about.
2. BPO jobs are always in demand
The global market for BPO is expected to reach 150 billion by 2020. That’s a lot of money! And it’s not just big companies hiring these workers; small businesses are now using BPO services to outsource their back office operations. So even if you aren’t looking to work for a Fortune 500 company right away, you should still consider pursuing a career in BPO.
3. BPO careers offer great flexibility
If you want to work at home, then you definitely want to look into BPO jobs. But you don’t have to worry about commuting either. Many BPO companies allow employees to work remotely. And some even provide flexible schedules.
4. BPO jobs are highly rewarding
You might think that working in an office would be boring, but many BPO positions actually involve helping customers solve problems. And when you help people, they tend to reward you with positive feedback. Plus, you get to interact with different cultures, which helps you learn about other countries and languages.
5. BPO jobs are challenging
Most BPO jobs require you have strong communication skills. Because you are communicating with people from around the world, you need to be able to express yourself clearly and effectively. You also need to be good at multitasking. Since you will often be doing several things at once, you need to be organized and focused.
