put center console on down position and press button on side then open.

Open the console door and start looking for bolts that need to come out that hold it to the floor, also the top plate of the console will have to come off and then you will see all the bolts that need to come out to take it out.
When you lock the car with the key fob the center console and fuel flap lock aswell. When you unlock the car with the key fob the center console and fuel flap unlock.
in my 99 Chevy venture there is a button on the ceiling where the console is there that you push to open them.
There is a latch in the center console between the seats. Pull it, and it should open.
There is a switch on both the drivers side and passenger doors. It's inside the door...jam. It's not a jam really, but I can't think of a better way to explain it. There is also a yellow button inside the center console.

If you are speaking of the rear hatch on a targa top vette, theres no keys for the back. Inside the center console glove box, theres a little yellow button that will pop it open. Those sometimes break, in that case there is little black slide buttons on the side of each door.
The lever should be located in the center console between the seats.
Just pull up on the front of the armrest / lid
My '84 has two; one inside the console storage compartment and one on the back edge of the driver's door; door must be open to see it.
