There are millions of possibilities for combinations of the two parents' genes. They don't combine the same way each time. People carry recessive genes for traits they don't show, so each egg or sperm has its own unique combination of genes.

What is gene mapping?

dont trip gene mapping is a procedure by which you find out what type of genes are present in the chromosomes of a living organism. you identify the location of genes also. for example the gene mapping of human was completed in 2001-2003 because humans have 45 chromosomes and approximately 35000 genes. so to identify such a large amount of genes and to find out their location, the scientists of the world distributed the task among themselves but still it took several years!!

Why are we not identical to our parents?

Genetics. They Don't Always Take From The Parents. They Can Get Their Genes From An Ancestor such As Grandparents Or Anyone Blood Related. everyone has different DNA. however identical twins have the same DNA if you are related by heredity, you have common alleles [a leels] Forensic scientists may take a sample of saliva, hair, blood, or skin and run the DNA through their database. if there is no result, they can still compare it to other samples from other cases or other people. even if you dont have a picture of them on record. you have their DNA make-up. our DNA and our brothers and sisters have common alleles. An allele is an alternative form of a gene each trait you have has 2 parts (moms, dads) or (dads, moms) there are millions of combinations. We are all different!

Are parents the one who spoil there children?

Why do siblings have similar personalities?

Children of the same parents share a similar genetic heritage. They may have similar physical features, hair colour, body build and so on. This is often called fa family resemblance. Sometime the genes combine to give children a very different appearance which may result from traits provided by a distant ancestor.
