i had the same problem for a while with my Lanos. i found that it was a combinations of a.) fuel filter being dirty and b.) wrong size tires on the car (when i had taken it in for new tires the shop put tires on that were to big), even when i got the tires fixed i still had milage problems. low air pressure in your tires could also account for lost milage. so, if your tires are fine then check your filter, and vise versa. hope this helps. It could also be the Oxygen sensor (lambda ) these only last between 30,000 and 50,00 miles and can result in fuel consumption increasing as they get contaminated and start increasing the fuel mixture due to false readings

Fuel pump assembly is located inside the fuel tank. The access to it is under right rear seat.

12.4 gallons and your light should come on at 1.5 gallons

it must be 4.2 bar direct from pump or regulated 3 bar

your fuel lines are blocked or filters dirty. but check you do have fuel first. seems silly but its the most common fault

There could be all the usual things like tune up, too hard driving conditions, underinflated tires, etc. However, i have a Lanos and it's really not good on gas for such a small car. I bought it new, and it always gave dissapointing gas mileage. Our Honda Civic gets like 10 more mpgs! So don't expect too much from Lanos.

It is located in the fuse box located in the fuse box under the hood on the left side of the vehicle.

YOu will have to remove the rear seat and the cover. This will make the fuel pump visible. Once you do this you will have to disconnect the two fuel lines and electic plugs. One you turn the lock, the fuel pump assembly will come out.

You can not put E85 Ethanol fuel into a car not designed for itas the Ethanol fuel (ethyl alcohol), {the same type of alcohol found in alcoholic beverages} will destroy the fuel system ( "O" rings , lines, ect...)

The fuel filter for a Daewoo Lanos is located on the firewall in the back of the engine compartment. It should be in the middle a little down from the top. It looks like a metal can(somewhat similar to a soda can) with two metal pipes coming out of each end. These connect to the fuel lines, one coming from the right(driver's side) and going down and under the car. The other one goes to the left(passenger's side) and loops around towards the engine. Hope that helps. Josh aspiring_authors@yahoo.com

i don't know about the daewoo but most vehicles have a switch "in case of an accident" that turns off the fuel pump. find out where your switch is and make sure it is set "or reset". that should make your pump come on to start the car. may want to check your fuses or not blown also to the pump.

User Avatar

It could be your timing belt. If your engine light on your dashboard does not turn on when you try to start the car it will be your engine fuse in front of the passenger seat

If you are asking aboute a "Low Fuel" light the answer is YES. It is located in the lower left hand corner of the instrument pannel with the Door, Brake and Oil lights. it should come on when there is aboute 1 to 2 galons left. Regards, C-F

How do you flush the transmission fuel from a 2000 Daewoo Nubira

User Avatar

Same as any newer car. Step 1, swap relay for one next to it that matches model #, driver side, under hood. If that doesn't work, With an ear at fuel tank, turn on key. You should hear it. If not, that's a great start, 99 out of 100 times it is the fuel pump failed.

Mounted on top and inside the fuel tank.

YES, all daewoo racers are fuel injected, a 1.5L fuel injected east-west engine, putting out about 55kw of power, the "i" in "eti" stands for injection

It could possibly be an additive in the fuel. Some types of fuel injector cleaner can clean as well as possibly damage fuel injectors. It's also possible that debris from somewhere in the fuel lines is getting into them. It wouldn't hurt to change the fuel filter and check the fuel pressure to see if the fuel pump is operating correctly. Another possibility might be the electrical side of the system.

changing a fuel filter on a daewoo is very easy. the filter itself is located on the firewall underneath the hood. right in the middle little silver tube with 2 hoses, one on either end, i would strongly recommend going to your local auto parts store and buying a fuelline removal tool, it is like $3 or so. worth it's weight in gold. Robert Cravens_Robert@yahoo.com Make sure you are careful, as the plastic on the fuel line disconnect can be very brittle and break. This makes it a pain to remove the fuel filter from the fuel line. When the Power button is pressed, the gear shifts at higher revs, so you can get better acceleration when outrunning other vehicle, or when driving uphills. In everyday driving, turn it of, because the car is going to be noisier and just wasting more fuel for no reason.
