They fled to Egypt to escape the murder of the boy children of Bethlehem by Herod. After King Herod died, they went to Nazareth to live because they came from Nazareth in the first place. Luke 2, Matthew 2.
According to the Bible and to Christian beliefs, Jesus of Nazareth was born to a woman who had never had sex, Mary. She was engaged to a carpenter named, Joseph. When she became pregnant he could have had her put away, stoned, or married. Joseph believed Mary's story of being visited by an angel of the Lord and became the earthly father to Jesus. In the book of Matthew is the geneology of Joseph for Jewish records and in Luke, a doctor, is the line of Mary who are following the physical genealogy. So, did Jesus have parents? Decide for yourself.
Jesus had a most interesting family background. He was born to a virgin named Mary, thus becoming a member of the human family. According to the Bible, his life was transferred from heaven to Mary's womb through holy spirit. (Luke 1:30-35) Before the miraculous conception of Jesus was announced, Mary had become engaged to a man named Joseph, who was thus to become Jesus' adoptive father. After Jesus' birth, Joseph and Mary had other children, Jesus' half brothers and sisters. That is evident from the question inhabitants of Nazareth later asked about Jesus: "Is this not the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary, and his brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? And his sisters, are they not all with us?" (Matthew 1:25; 13:55, 56; Mark 6:3) We can conclude from this that Jesus' immediate family consisted of his parents, four brothers, and at least two sisters.
He was there.Joseph was there. He was not deceased. He is mentioned later as Jesus grew up into manhood. And remember that Joseph and Mary were not yet married when Jesus was born.
No Im not sure but I think it was founded for Joseph(the father of Jesus) amd Mary (the mother of Jesus)
bill bob Jones forced Mary to flee England i know it sounds silly but its true!
Joseph and Mary were the parents of Jesus of Nazareth.
Mary , Joseph and the baby Jesus fled in the night to Egypt.
This was Joseph of Nazareth, a carpenter, who married Jesus' mother Mary after her conception with Jesus.
Bethlehem was where Jesus was born. Mary and Joseph traveled there to take part in a nationwide census. Shortly after Jesus was born, the family traveled back home to Nazareth.
Mary and Joseph journeyed to Bethlehem from Nazareth (in the north - in the region of Galilee) when Mary was pregnant. Jesus was then born in Bethlehem. The family settled there for two years or more and then returned to nazareth where Jesus grew up. The only other record we have of his childhood was when Mary and Joseph took him on a visit to Jerusalem (NOT Bethlehem) when he was 12 years old.
Jesus' earthly Father and Mother were Joseph and Mary, but God in heaven is is true, awesome, and heavenly FatherIt depends on how you view it.One point of view could be God and Mary. But, when Jesus was born, his "parents" were Joseph and Mary.
Actualy Mary and Joseph fled only once to Egypt from king Herod.
In Luke's Gospel, Mary and Joseph lived in Nazareth. The Gospel does not say so, but it is always assumed that they had a house in Nazareth. In Matthew's Gospel, Mary and Joseph appear to have lived in Bethlehem. The house in which the magi found Jesus was no doubt their home.
Saint Joseph is believed to have lived in Nazareth, which was a small town in Galilee, during the time of Jesus. He is also traditionally thought to have spent time in Egypt when fleeing with his family to escape King Herod's massacre of infants.

According to the bible, Jesus is the son of God. He doesn't have a stepfather. Unless Mary married someone else then that man would be a stepfather, but Jesus has his "dad" Joseph. Its very confusing but no, Jesus does not have a step dad
He traveled from Nazareth to Bethlehem with Mary, where Jesus was born. From Bethlehem he took his family to Egypt. From Egypt they returned to Nazareth.
