Why Dodge neon runs fine idle when you get into gear and on a road you have to put the car in neutral while slowing down to keep it from shaking like crazy when slowing to stop but fine stopped?

you more than likely need to change the unversal joints that are conected at both ends of the driveshaft. hope this helps
