The battery is a lithium ion battery which means it will down if used while charging. If you want to increase the power to about 6 hours or more you will need to power drain it. You must charge it completely and then let it run completely down WITHOUT USING IT so leave on your counter and let the power run down and you'll have about 3 more hours on it.

∙ 13y agoOn the iPod touch 4G (with the camera) you can close apps that you have had open by double pressing the main button, then it will show the apps your have open, tap+hold until they do that jiggling thing then press the red button in the corner of the app. This closes the app, meaning it isn't trying to do things on your iPod, therefore the battery lasts longer
