After the flood, God made a covenant with Noah, promising to never again destroy the earth with a flood. God also instructed Noah to be fruitful and multiply, and to fill the earth.
Gen:6:13: And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
The covenant with Noah was made as a promise to never again destroy the earth with a flood. It was a sign of God's mercy and grace towards humanity, despite human sinfulness.
The covenant god made with Noah was that he would not destroy the earth, with a flood that would last for 40 days and nights. The rainbow is the sign of it.
After the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden they were cast out. Cain slew his brother Abel and moved away. Adam and Eve had more children and chapter 6 of Genesis tells us that, "Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth...." From Adam and Eve many persons were born. (Persons lived long lives during this period before the flood and it is supposed that intermarriage occurred at first to produce people and soon the earth or this portion of earth was filled with people). Then in Genesis 6:5-7, " Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually....." God said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth....." God told Noah to build an ark because he was going to destroy the earth with water. So Noah and his 3 sons built the ark and they and their wives and all of the animals God wanted saved entered the ark and soon the flood came and destroyed everything else. God told Noah the people on the earth were wicked and He was going to destroy them, but told Noah to build an ark so he and his family could be saved.
Noah was chosen because he was the most righteous man on earth.(Genesis 7:1)(Ezekiel 14:14)He 'walked faithfully with God' (Genesis 6:9NIV)He was a "preacher of righteousness"(2 Peter 2:5 NIV)He showed 'godly fear'(respect)and faith(Hebrews 11:7ASB)
God's first covenant was with noah, stating that he will never destroy the earth with water again and established the rainbow as a promise.
"And I (God) will establish My covenant with you (Noah); and all flesh shall never again be destroyed by the waters of the flood; nor shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth."
Since I don't have any idea who Noah is, I am going to say Sonic the hedgehog.
FloodAnswer:The flood wasn't "natural." It was "specially prepared" by God:"... I am going to put an end to all people... I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens..." (Gen. 6:13-17).
There is no rainbow song in the bible. Only mention that god made a covenant with Noah that he would not destroy the earth with a flood.
