My understanding is that it is a single core radiator. If you Have the inline 6 engine, they can generate plenty of heat. Also, a fairly common problem is the fan motor can fail for several reasons. This would make more sense, since it only happens in traffic. Pop the Hood, and let it run until the motor is at about 180-200°f. If the fan doesn't kick on, then you Java narrowed down the problem.
Could be bad fan relay?Could be a plugged or restricted radiatorCould be a bad radiator capCould be a bad thermostat

Cherokee is a hard top only vehicle.
Yes, only if they have the same engine.
My Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0L is all-time 4wd and its a 1998 model...
The only differences are between a regular Cherokee and a Grand Cherokee.
I would not recommend it, unless this is going to be an off-road only Jeep. There is just too much that can go wrong.

The transmission fluid capacity of a 1995 Jeep Cherokee is 8.5 quarts. When the fluid and filter are changed, only 4 quarts are needed.
It sounds like the resistor which is mounted under the dash in the heater box. There is a wire harness that plugs into it and two screws. Pretty easy to change part is about $50+ though. Check the harness sometimes it overheats and melts the plastic.
