I am not sure what makes you think Muslims distrust women, given the word Muslim means someone who follows Islamic scripture, that's totally wrong to say Muslims distrust women. There is not teaching in Islam or for muslims that suggests distrust, if some self-proclaimed person still does it then its their own flaw idea.
