It is non-democratic because when the people voted for Aung San Suu Kyi to be their president, the military had her arrested, and placed under house arrest. They have refused to hand over power to her and continue to subject the people to their military Dictatorship. They have had many thousands arrested for protesting against them and have killed thousands more ethnic tribal people in the countryside.
The military junta's recent behavior after the cyclone, in preventing relief efforts, disqualifies them from office.

list of countries that were democratic and non democratic in year 1950
Iraq , myanmar , turkey are struggling for democratic rights.
Myanmar is not currently a fully functioning democracy. Although it transitioned to a quasi-democratic system in 2011, the military coup in February 2021 effectively restored military rule, reversing many democratic reforms. The military government has faced widespread protests and international condemnation, leading to ongoing conflict and a humanitarian crisis. Thus, Myanmar's democratic status remains highly contested and unstable.
Only two countries in the world do not officially call themselves democratic; they are Myanmar (Burma) which is a Military Dictatorship; and Vatican City, which is a Absolute Theocratic Monarchy. Many of the countries in the world that call themselves democracies are democratic in name only; and due to corruption, disenfranchisement and other factors are not true democracies.
any 4 non democratic country
yes bhutan is non- democratic country
Ans: People face various difficulties in a non-democratic country as we have seen in case of Chile, Myanmar, Ghana, Pakistan, Poland, Nepal etc. These difficulties because of the different reasons as mentioned below: >> In non-democratic countries, the people have no security of life. For example, in Chile thousands of people were killed by military rulers. >> People are not free to express their opinions. Criticizing the government or rulers in a non-democratic country would lead to severe punishments. >> There is no freedom for the people either to elect their government or to be elected. Even if they find any government or ruler not to their benefit or well-being, they can not change it since there is no election. >> In non-democratic countries no opposition parties or opposition leader is tolerated. >> As we have seen in Poland during the regime of a non-democratic government, the workers are not allowed to form their independent Trade Unions. Only such unions can survive which rightly or wrongly support the policies of the government. >> In absence of a democratic government there is no socio-economic equality. Societies in such countries remain divided among privileged and non-privileged classes which result in corruption in every department of the government. Ordinary people can not aspire for any post. People are always at the mercy of the autocratic ruler or the dictator.
It is run by a dictator and that makes it non democratic.
