You need to dry out the ignition circuit to no 3.
I washed my car at the car wash, then I washed the engine with engine/tire cleaner with the engine running, since then my check engine light has been on. Sometimes it blinks fast, goes off and then comes back on steadily. The engine sounds like sputter, misfire, rough sound from the tailpipe. The entire engine seems to be running fine, no shaking or bouncing, just running normal. What is the problem? Thanks for your help.
why the engine light of my subaru came on after i washed the engine
Check all connectors for moisture and dry them out.
Did you wash the engine or just the outside?????????????????? If you washed the engine and it was hot when you washed it, you possibly got water in one of the electrical connections. Never ever wash an engine with sensors when it is hot. The water turns to steam and the steam gets in the connections . You can wash a cold engine bay just try not to direct high pressure into areas like the computer and sensors. If all you did is wash the outside.....I do not have a clue what to tell you. You may just need to wait until things dry out
Something has gotten water on or in it, and is causing a misfire. You need to find what is wet and dry or replace it. The plug wires, coil , distributor cap are all places that could hold the problem. If you have the code checked it should show which cylinder is the problem.
depends how old it is.
you flooded it
Replace the valve cover gasket and the Valve cover oil breather. Make sure ther is no carbon or oil build up on the headers or around the engine. Check your head gaskit also.
Mobliser? I assume you are wanting to say that you opened your hood and washed the engine? If this is correct then you probably got water into electical connections and shorted something out. This would be especially valid if you used a car wash or power washer with water under high pressure. If that's the case then you could have damaged just about anything under the hood. Generally speaking, high pressure water under the hood is usually a bad idea.
Yes, any creature within a thousand miles of the beach can be washed up by the oceanic current if there mass and body weight does not exceed the amount of pressure and force used to carry it.
If you have an AutoZone nearby, they will clear it for free.
Becuse someone washed the engine. Or the plug covers have bad seals and somehow when it rains water is splashing into the engine.
