Why alcohol should be illegal?

I do not think it should be illegal. Why wouldn' t I be allowed to have a glass of champagne or wine sometimes because there are people who cannot stop drinking or become agressive during drinking. I should improve the living standards or investigate why so many people go in for Alcoholism. Each of them has a reason for drinking : high costs, grief, low wages, too much stress, disappointment, panic, unhappiness, etc.

Alcohol should be illegal to increase organized crime, fill up the prisons, and increase police workload with petty crimes.
