Any drug has certain "active ingredients", and the active ingredients must be the same, and in the same dosage, in every drug, whether it is generic or brand-name or OTC or prescription.
Every drug has some "inactive ingredients", or "fillers"; the fillers can vary from maker to maker, and between batches for the same maker. These ingredients may include binders to keep the pill together, or artificial color or flavorings.
