Jesus tells us that anyone who would be His disciple must "CONTINUE IN HIS WORD" [John 8:31] -- which is the study of the Bible.

He tells us that diligent study of His Word reveals the "Truth" to His disciples... and that the Truth of His Word is "LIBERATING." [verse 32]

Christians use The Bible for "spiritual food" for the heart and mind, to "grow and develop" as God's Children.

The Bible:

"...is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be [become] perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." (II Tim.3:16-17)

we use the bible because God lead people to write the truth and the word of God!

i recommend the bible to you because He is always there to hear your every pray inside. you can hear the words He says "Never walk away from me and leave behind the PROMISE OF A LIFETIME."

Answer:

Because Jesus commands His servants to read, study and continue in the Bible, for the sake of its "liberating Truth."

"...If ye continue in My Word [the Bible], then are ye My disciples indeed; and ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free." (John 8:31-32)

The Bible sets God's people apart from other people. It's called "sanctification" [the setting apart of God's servants for His personal, holy use]... faithful people working for God, for His purpose... in obedience to His Word.

Jesus tells us that the Bible IS TRUTH.

"They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy Truth: thy Word is Truth... For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also might be sanctified through the Truth." (John 17:16-19)

A person's belief, faith and trust in the Word of God is how God identifies who is His... and who isn't. It sets them apart from everyone else.

The Bible is God's Divinely revealed Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding, given to the hearts and minds of those who believe what the Bible says, that the world in its "carnal wisdom" cannot perceive.

"...since in the Wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know Him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

"Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the Wisdom of God." (I Cor.1:21-24 NIV)

Without the Bible... believers would have nothing to believe. They would merely continue in the "human" wisdom of the world... and continue to be of the world, and not be sanctified; set apart from the world.

In the Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding of the Bible... the Child of God is instructed and trained in the ways of God... whereby Loving Godly character may be developed... and God's Child may be fed, nourished and continue to grow.

The Holy Spirit is the "umbilical cord" that imparts the Truth of the Bible to the spirit of the developing Child of God.

This is perhaps nonsense to many... but it's a spiritual "birth process" comparable to the physical birth process. And the Bible, the Word of God, is the Bread [the spiritual food source] by which God feeds and nourishes His Children with His Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding.

The Bible is the WORD of God... the Bread of God. His name is Jesus Christ.

"...I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty." (John 6:35 NIV)

The Truth and Understanding of the Bible is the difference between receiving Eternal Life... and perishing.

"The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the Truth and so be Saved." (II Thess.2:9-10 NIV)

That's some of the reasons why Christians use the Bible.
