No Its called PLASMA but its made of Corn Starch and Water, it can be made it regualr temperature ive done it... but i dont understand why it can act like so... under force it acts as a solid but if you sit in it, or rest your hand in it it acts as a liquid like quick sand, it just sucks you in... now can you please explain it to me why it does that?!?!?!

Is there anything that is both solid or liquid?

At the same time, no. Being solid and liquid at the same time would be like being hot and cold at the same time.

What is a liquid and solid at the same time called?

an Amorphis Solid

What is a solid and a gas at the same time?

Water can be a solid, liquid, and gas at the same time. This is due to the varying energies of the molecules while they are in a changing state.

What element can be a liquid and a gas at the same time?

Plasma is a substance that can be both liquid and gas at the same time. It is formed when an air or gas is ionized and releases free electrons. Specific examples of plasma are balls of lightning, fluorescent light bulbs, and the Northern Lights.

Can a material be both liquid and gas at the same time?

Water can do this and the temperature at which it occurs is called the triple point.

Is helium a gas all the time?

No, helium is not a gas all the time. At extremely high temperatures it becomes a plasma, and at extremely low temperatures it becomes a liquid. It does not have a solid phase, however.

Can matter be found in a plasma state in the liver?

Only if you fell into a nuclear reactor, and then only for a short time. Seriously... you are mixing up two different meanings of the word plasma. In physics there are four states of matter: solid, liquid, gas, and plasma. Plasma is what happens when you heat something up very high. Start with a solid, heat it up till it melts. Now you have a liquid. Heat the liquid till it boils. Now you have a gas. Heat the gas until the molecules break down, now heat it more until the electrons have so much energy that they escape from the nucleus of the atoms. Now you have a plasma state. A plasma is like a gas, expect that all of the particles are charged. In biology plasma is a part of blood. If you start with whole blood then remove the red cells, the white cells, and platelets then you are left with a yellowish liquid. That liquid is plasma.

What is plasma that is made by human technology?

This depends on what type of plasma is in question, plasma can be any liquid which lipids can be suspended in over long periods of time without separating ie blood, milk. The term can also refer to an ionized gas ie solar plasma. This is one of the 5 states of matter, the others being Solid, Liquid, Gas, and a Bose-Einstein condensate

What happens as a liquid freezes?

Impossible. Boiling is when a liquid turns into a gas, freezing is when it turns into a solid. Obviously, the same molecules cannot be a gas and a solid at the same time. Mixtures of a liquid and a suspended solid might appear to "freeze" when boiled because they thicken when the liquid boils away, but this is not true freezing.

How can matter change from one state to another state of matter?

They can;liquid to gas= evapouration(boiling water)liquid to solid=freezing(ice cubes)gas to liquid= condensation(steamy bathroom windows)solid to liquid= melting(ice cubes).
