The dog is clearly in some discomfort and is scratching his ear so much for a reason. And you need to find that reason and treat it.
The cause of the irritation could be an allergy to something or perhaps more probably fleas or mites in the affected area. If so, this can spread and lead to complications including wider infestation and hair loss (http://www.doghairloss.co.uk).
Suggest a trip to the vet for accurate diagnosis and treatment so your dog can get back to normal and free from the irritation.
