Answer
There are a number of key differences in what Christians and Muslims believe which shapes their personal differences. Here are a few:
1.Regarding Jesus Christ: Christians believe Jesus to be the eternal Son of God, equal with God Himself. Muslims teach that God cannot have a son.
In regard to this doctrine, it is also true that many Muslims misunderstand the Christian teaching thinking that Christians believe that Jesus became God when He was born whereas Christians believe that Jesus was eternally existent as God.
2. Scriptures: Muslims have the Koran as their central Holy book but also recognise The Bible of the Christians but say it has been corrupted, and so the revelation given to Muhammed is God's final revelation and so supersedes the Bible. Christians only recognise the Bible as scripture and authoritative. they also reject the Muslim idea of corruption in their scriptures, as is demonstrated by much textual evidence.
3. Ethos: Islam emphasizes hatred and coercion towards those of either a different religion, as well as even different sects within Islam itself. This has resulted in much bloodshed down through history, including our present time.
Christians (or those claiming to be) have indeed engaged in violent acts such as the inquisition, the crusades etc but these acts are directly contrary to Christian teaching, and in so doing such perpetrators forfeit the right to the name "Christian". The Christian teaching is very clearly that of Love and peace towards others, and does not support violence or coercion towards those who disagree and does Islam. Christians, particularly those who fled to the new world of America to escape persecution, were champions of religious tolerance and freedom. Missionary efforts are by persuasion in Christianity, not the sword as in Islam.
4. Nature of God: The God of the Muslim is very different from the God of the Christian. In Islam God is distant and un-knowable and does not provide and certainty of salvation to the individual. In Christianity God personally loves and cares for every person on this planet, and can and does promise certainty and assurance of salvation to all believers, as well as answering prayer and the performing of miraculous interventions to help people when He sees fit.
Christians believe that:
The big difference is that Muslims believe that Jesus (Peace be upon him) is a great Prophet and God's Messenger but not God or son of God as most Christians believe. Refer to questions below for more information.

You are referring to two different groups of people. Some Muslims hate Christians. They kill them all over the world and then celebrate it. Other Muslims would never dream of killing anyone. Those are the Muslims who say they do not hate Christians - because they don't.
