see back in the 1950's it was a cold war it was mainly against Russia and the US. the US. had put missiles in turkey pointing towards Russia in case they tried to anything to us. seeing this the Russians got mad and told their allies the Cubans who we had trade with that they were going to put missiles on their soil pointing towards the US. the Cubans agreed and had missiles sent to Cuba to be ready for anything. we found out about this and were none to please so we confronted Russia on this and they said if your missiles in turkey get taken down then we'll take down ours in Cuba. the US. agreed and took down the missiles in turkey but, we were worried about if the Russians would stay true to their word eventually the missiles were disarmed by the Russians and the scare was over but the cold war was not. in the end the United States got angry with Cuba and put a stop to the trade its called a trade embargo. now Cuban cigars are one of the main exports from Cuba (the best cigar in the world) and can't be bought or sold but i bet you most smoke shops carry them illegally.
Another View: The sale of Cuban manufactured cigars in the US is the result of a trade embargo against the Communist regime in power in that country. Whether it makes sense or not is beside the point. it is the LAW.
Because thed USA has a trade imbargo against Cuba
No! It is illegal to bring Cuban cigars to the US!

In the United States it's also illegal to sell Cuban cigars to someone over 18 years old.
No. If you attempt to bring them across the border and are caught, you could end up in a lot of trouble.
If you live in the US, you cannot. It is illegal to possess them.
No. The embargo is imposed by the US government, and only affects importing Cuban goods to the US.
It hasn't ended. Havana cigars are still illegal in the US.
Cuban cigars were banned February 7 , 1962 .
Yes, the M-80 Fireworks are illegal to buy in the United States because they are Cuban cigars.
Cuban cigars are imported into Canada , unlike the ban upon them in the US , and a quality Tobacconist or cigar shop should carry a selection of Cuban cigars .
Yes. The US still has a trade embargo against Cuba. There has been one in place since March of 1958, and recently became more strict by adding that it is illegal for American's to consume Cuban cigars outside of the United States. This was added in 2004. There is currently no end in sight for the embargo to end, but it will most likely continue until Fidel Castro dies and the Cuban government becomes non-communist.
The same as it did during the cold war; Cuban cigars are still illegal to import into the US.
