People of many naitonalities are strong in the Mormon faith. One reason why it seems Latin Americans are is because many of them emigrate to the U.S. It is not as common for a European Mormon to move to the U.S.
Also, Latin Americans tend to be very religious anyway, regardless of the denomination. This has sometimes been attributed to the humble circumstances many of them live in.
The majority of Latin Americans belong to the Roman Catholic Church.
