If you're asking this for an assignment you would be better off looking for scientific studies on the subject. From my own experience, bettas are intelligent as far as fish go. I know of some fish that have been trained to jump out of the water for a pellet stuck to somebody's finger with a droplet of water. This indicates that they must be able to see the pellet, because they don't jump if the same person holds the same finger out with nothing on it. My own bettas recognise my hand as opposed to any other object if I stick it in the tank, and will come up for a pat.
Betta fish are not colour blind, and in fact the males react to some colours; however, Bettas do have poor eyesight in bright light and can see better in darker water
Bettas may see colours but they will not see what we see. Their needs are totally different from ours and their sight could easily include light from the ultra violet scale too.
Many fish do see with color; however many cave species and deep water species do not see with color. The fish you might find in a petstore will usually have color vision.
Yes, actually! Try putting different colors around your beta fish's tank to see which ones he/she likes!
Betta fish are not colorblind like most other fish. There species is just made to be able to see colors.
Bettas have good eyesight provided that there is low lighting; they cannot really see in bright light at all.
Betta fish change color by there environment and the types of food that you feed it. If your Betta fish is loosing color that means that your Betta is sick.
Typically a betta will increase in colour, and in some cases change colours somewhat as they age. If your betta begins to lose it's colour, check for water quality problems or an illness.
Yes. Betta Fish do change their coloer every now and then. Or if you have a male, he will change his coloer if hes chaseing a female Betta Fish. Or if he sees another male Betta Fish.
Betta fish derive their color from refraction within a layer of translucent guanine crystals.
I would probs say a Betta fish because of their color
Yes how do you think the multicolored bettas came to be the fish are still bettas no matter the color they are.
other Betta fish and the bigger fish.
Betta fish do not eat fish.
No betta fish are carnivores.
Just watch how they interact and if the betta is being aggressive isolate him. Bettas can be with other fish as long as the betta is a different color and there arent any fish with similar fins.
Well, if you love your Betta fish, then it should live by itself. But if you add another Betta to your current Betta fish's tank, then they will start a fight because Betta Fish are Siamese fighting fish and if one Betta is in contact of another Betta, the possible reason would be a fight between them two.
A betta is a fish of the species Betta, especially Betta splendens, commonly known as the Siamese fighting fish.
