There are many people on both sides that do not feel Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton are good candidates, and they are upset at their lack of options. On top of that, Donald Trump tends to mouth off and say a good deal of things that some people find pretty offensive. The combination of these two things make people feel angry towards him.

Both Democrats and Republicans are angry with Donald Trump for different reasons. Democrats are critical of his policies, such as his Immigration stance, healthcare reforms, and deregulation efforts. They also consider his behavior and rhetoric as divisive and damaging to the country's social fabric. Some Republicans are angry with Trump for his unconventional style, divisive rhetoric, and his departure from traditional conservative values on issues such as free trade and deficit spending.

On the other hand, Democrats believe the shutdown was caused by stubbornness and political theater by a small group of Tea Party Republicans who dislike government and wanted to find an excuse to shut it down. Democrats say they tried repeatedly to get budget negotiations going, but the Tea Party leaders refused to talk unless Obamacare was repealed. Democrats also believe these Republicans were determined to stop President Obama from having any success, and they were willing to shut down the government to make their point.
