There are several possible reasons why the brake lights don't work:
1. The bulbs are burned out.
2. The brake light switch, down by the brake pedal, has failed.
3. The turn signal switch has failed.
4. There are wiring issues.
The brake lights in your 1983 Nissan pickup truck are controlled by the brake light relay switch. When the brake light relay switch malfunctions the brake lights will stop working.
I have a 1983 GMC Sierra it has no dash, tail lights an brake lights are very dim
No, the 1983 model does not have a crankshaft position sensor. Only distributorless engine needs a crankshaft position sensor.
should be on the bottom side of the column near the shifter i own and drive a 84 celebrity and that's where mine is... im doing a brake hose now
Assuming the signal lights still work, no. But a bad brake light switch or a blown brake light fuse could.
The years 1983 and 1984 disc brake spindles are interchangeable with a 1982 Chevy C10 pick up.
Are you asking about the heater blower motor or the engine cooling blower motor?
Turn signals use a relay or 'flasher' which is usually located on or near the column under the dash. Brake lights get their power thru the brake light switch on or near your brake pedal under the dash; check it with a 12v circuit tester.
