To answer your question, yes. However, an MCJROTC squad is not the same thing as say an AFJROTC squad. While in AFJROTC it goes Squad, Wind, then element, in MCJROTC it goes Company, Platoon, Squad. This isn't a very good explanation

What if your going into the Army but attending Air Force JROTC?
It makes no difference. If you have been in JROTC for 2 years (i think), then you get a rank advance no matter what branch you enlist in. If you enlist in the Army, you will leave basic training as a PFC. I am also in AFJROTC but i am either joining the army or navy.
