Because the manufacturers are aware that very few people are capable of driving at high speeds safely they put a limiter on the top speed. There are several was to remove or disable the limitation devices.
120mph with the Governer limiter. without Governer limiter, 155mph.
The M3, M5 and M6 are all limited to 155MPH. However, if the limiter is removed, the top speed exceeds 200MPH.
It's Limited to 155mph, but modern mechanics did an article about them taking it up to the salt flats and taking the limiter off, it managed 175mph
Speed limited to 155mph
Electronically limited to 250km/h or 155mph
limited to 155mph in the US.
The XK8 is computer chip limited to 155mph.
155mph but it can go over it but is limited to 155
It varies from year to year but limited around 155mph
I have heard approx 155mph. Speed is not electronically limited.
A gentle electronic limiter draws a close on this headlong rush at 155mph. The gearing and power suggests that without this limiter, 180mph would be fairly easily achievable. ....it's about new model Shame i got up to 210 at the Neuberg in Germany ;)
All German cars do. They were all competing to get the fastest best car and all the motor companies agreed to limit there cars to 155mph or 160 something like that
