okay, the since(since fourth century) the egg, with its potent connotations of new life and rebirth, has een associated with easter. in the west, the custom is generally to give chocolate eggs, which are a twentieth-century invention. in orthdox church they painted them bright colors.


so the egg means rebirth life, like Jesus did when he resurrected after his third day of crucifixion. the bright colors must mean that they want to associated the symbol of rebirth with fun and entertaining colors.
